The game is essentially a third rate cover shooter with the Splinter Cell name and characters/back story stuck in there for no good reason.

No graphic glitches or major bugs on PC (unlike all previous games in the series, except Chaos Theory). Soundtrack and audio effects are decent, although for some reason your weapons sound really weak. Pros: - Graphics are nice, although you get some weird slowdowns even with a modern GPU, it looks like the game is quite CPU dependant. This could arguably be a "pro" due to the repetitive nature of the game. The game is way too short, just 11 levels, about 20-30 minutes long each depending on play style and difficulty. Levels are absolutely linear, no exploration to speak of, no computers to hack, no side objectives, nothing. Cons: - The game consists of going from point A to point B mindlessly killing enemies (heck, it's even worse, you can even COMPLETELY SKIP the firefights, just run like mad and wait for a checkpoint to pop up, suddenly enemies are no longer chasing you). The game consists of going from point A to point B mindlessly killing enemies Hands down the worst Splinter Cell game out there. Hands down the worst Splinter Cell game out there. To survive, build an underground network of allies who will help you obtain high-tech gadgets and stay one step ahead of your pursuers as you struggle to unmask the forces that frame you. Easily the most impressive aspect of Splinter Cell's visual front is the lighting effects. A gameplay experience delivering 100% adrenaline includes close combat and shooting sequences. Splinter Cell raised the bar for graphics on the Xbox in 2002 and thankfully, the PC version manages to look just as good as the Xbox version, if not better in some cases. As a fugitive, quick thinking and adaptation are essential to turn the situation to your advantage. Always on your toes, you need to react on the fly to any changing situations and use the environment and the crowds around you to create diversions and deter your enemies. Experience original gameplay based on improvisation in which your environment is your top weapon. Your only choice is to improvise to survive. You are a fugitive, ruthlessly hunted by the very government you used to serve. Always on your toes, you need to react on Improvise. from the strong campaign, to the fun as hell co-op, to all the other game modes and multiplayer, SC is very likely to get nominated for GOTY (not that i think it'll win this year).

Sc:c is easly the most fun game i've played for the last year+ and ps3 only owners should be thrilled at the possibility of getting it. but hey, there is a certain group of gamers that will complain about anything even if it's entirely false.

seems to me that is a mark in ubi soft's favor. how anyone can complain that there is a separate co-op that is just as fun as the campaign is far beyond me. I do agree though, the co-op is a lot of fun, and a great addition. and if you're not playing SC on realistic, you really have no business playing as Sam Fisher in the first place. Splinter Cell campaign is much longer than 5 hours. Therealspy03 4235d ago (Edited 4235d ago )
